Jobs Department Engineer / DP & Control Systems

We are now looking for a Department Engineer – DP & Control Systems. 

Key responsibilities:

•  Responsible for managing, maintaining and upgrading the vessel’s DP systems and associated control systems.
• Supervising and assisting the company’s DP operators and technicians.
• Ensure that approved, scheduled and class required maintenance is performed on the DP and associated control systems.
• Manage trouble shooting and repair of soft and hard interfaces, electrical systems, reference systems and deployment systems.
• Familiarize with the vessel’s DP capability.
• Review and maintain DP related logs and make recommendations for improved reliability and operation.
• Monitor and anticipate on class and industry prospect guidelines and regulations.
• Organize and schedule maintenance activities making use of the company’s planned maintenance systems AMOS.

Capability profile / Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor level of education (HTS or TU in Electrical, Electronic or Computer science).
• Extensive experience in a similar function.
• Excellent computer skills (outlook, word, excel, powerpoint).
• Knowledge of various DP & control systems and familiar with applicable  regulations and industry standards.
• Recognized Dynamic Positioning Operators Certificate (unlimited).
• Basic knowledge of power generation and distribution systems (HV & LV),  frequency drives and thruster systems.
• Good knowledge of oral and written English.
•  Multitasking / flexible.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Willing to travel abroad or to the vessels.
